Purpose & Mission
The Orlando Harley-Davidson Drill Team was established 2003 in the spirit of continuing an authentic American tradition. In addition to continuing the tradition of Harley-Davidson we are tasked with the public presentation of a positive image of motorcycling, and a message of friendship and entertainment. All this is possible through their participation in competition and performances, with demonstrations of safe motorcycle riding and by becoming pro-active members in the motorcycling community.
Performances & Training
The Orlando Harley-Davidson Drill Team performs annually at various benefits including the Russell Home, a center for atypical children, The Freedom Ride, and H.A.R.K Helping Art Reach Kids. They also enjoy welcoming returning military detachments and several parades throughout the year. In 2007, we performed at the Opening Ceremonies of the National Home Builders Association at the Orlando Convention Center featuring Ted Koppel, keynote speaker. A musical tribute to over 200 years of homebuilding was met with the roar of Harley-Davidson as we welcomed the Rock n’ Roll era to over 13,000 attendees. We take tremendous pride in celebrating a heritage that has made America great.
Why?
The Orlando Harley-Davidson Drill Team serves as Good Will Ambassadors to the community. The members of the Team perform on their own time and their own motorcycles and it takes continuous practice and choreography to execute a multitude of precise and difficult drills. Such performances require concentration and athletic ability to tame these 900-pound machines. The rapport created between the community and the motorcycling promotes respect for motorcycles within the motoring public. Should you be interested in having us perform at your event please call Orlando Harley-Davidson Rider Education Team to discuss the specifics.
